I am currently rehearsing this short play that will be presented at the 'Taking The Stage' festival in Milton Keynes. This exciting festival is back supporting and celebrating women playwrights. 'Writing Doesn't Have To Be Lonely' - a showcase at Genfest 2024. and Genfest 2025

As Producer of this fabulous Northampton-based group, we are thrilled to have been selected to be a part of the Royal and Derngates Genfest in October 2024.

For 2025 we ran a wonderful Writers Retreat, followed by a Q & A with Jesse Jones, Artisitic Director at The Royal & Derngate.

 Writing Doesn’t Have to Be Lonely was established in February 2018 as a monthly happening for writers to hear their work at an early stage read by actors.

Whether it is something that has been written in the last couple of weeks or a script that has been sitting in a drawer for a couple of years, the group encourage emerging and established artists to bring their scripts along. These are then given out to actors and the work is performed to the audience. This has been invaluable for the writers to hear the work and get feedback from the actors, writers and others in attendance. 

From their events, many collaborations have been established and several of the scripts have gone into professional productions. 

This sharing is a showcase of some of the group’s favourite scripts from the last 12 months. ​​​
