Nice To Meet You
I trained at the Birmingham School of Acting (previously BSSD) where I graduated with commendation at the ripe old age of 34. In a previous life my work had included being a Retail Sales Manager, Recruitment Consultant and Project Manager.
Whilst training I took the role of the grandmother 'Mary' in 'Mishas Party', 'Mistress Quickly' in Henry V, 'Mrs Cheveley' in 'An Ideal Husband' and 'Minerva' and 'Nurse' in 'Tales of Ovid',
Since graduating I have toured with varying companies in a range of roles in 'Macbeth', 'The Little Mermaid', 'Aladdin' and 'Field of Dreams' and had my first addictive experience of The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2007 where I played 'Marge' in 'The Coach' after previewing the show at The Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham.
After a 6 month tour in Austria with Viennas English Theatre, I returned to The Old Joint Stock Theatre where I completed a run of the one woman show 'From Me to 3792', a new piece of writing by David Hendon. I was extremely honoured to have this piece written with me in mind. After a successful run of the show at The Edinburgh Fringe in 2009, I organised a tour of the show which I presented with my own company, Next Page Productions.
Next Page and Sharon Foster Productions went on to present a new show called 'Rose Cottage'. This was a new piece of writing by Steve Pearce and went on to tour and provide the Old Joint Stock Theatre with their 2 week Christmas show. My next fantastic partnership was with Liz John & Julia Wright, two very talented Birmingham based writers. They provided me with my first solo producers role with the wondeful and humorous 'Invisible' which toured the Midlands throughout the summer of 2013, with myself in the role of Lisa. After the success of this tour, Liz and Julia wrote a very clever piece of interactive theatrical comedy called 'Calling For Help', which toured the Midlands and surrounding areas throughout April 2016.
My next collaboration was with a fantastic writer called Steve Dimmer who had written some beautiful pieces about the late Sid James and Joan Sims. These were performed as 'Funny Faces' and toured across the Midlands with fabulous reviews.
